Cornuda social project supports vulnerable groups with EU funds
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will have a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the Comune. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
