Cornuda Supports Vulnerable Groups with Community and Regional Funds

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative’s implementation is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community bonding and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
