Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Vulnerable Residents’ Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will have a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total allocated amount for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The City Administration has committed to support the initiatives, ensuring services for supervision and coordination among the involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
