Cornuda Social Support Project: Local Initiatives for Vulnerable Groups

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funding allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved entities.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens, aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable populations.
