Cornuda Social Support Project: €100K Funding for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening centers and gathering spaces will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and to improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community gathering and fostering solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved entities.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
