Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Improve Elderly and Disabled Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
