Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion and Community Engagement

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, fostering opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved parties.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention exemplifies a collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
