Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Boosts Support for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total allocated budget for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Town Council has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
