On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most disadvantaged social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and community funds.
