Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding and Community Collaboration

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association (associazione di quartiere), and various volunteer organizations.

Goals and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community sources.

Activities and Expected Objectives

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
