Cornuda Social Support Project Launched with EU Funding in 1996
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day early June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer associations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the realization of the’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transportation services, support services, listening centers, and gathering points will also be strengthened.
