Cornuda Social Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Support Efforts

Start of the agreement and participants

On the end of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the socially most vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ^’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of ^’ the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

Activities and expected objectives

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.

Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering spots will also be enhanced.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

^l Comune Administration has affirmed its commitment to support initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the different involved components.
