The Villa Carrara Bottagisio Park in Bardolino has recently undergone a significant renovation, which included the replacement of the grass and care for the vegetation, including the historic centuries-old magnolia. The work, completed in time for the Easter holidays and the start of the tourist season, involved laying 2,700 square meters of rolled grass and renewing the pathways, with the addition of decorative lapilli over an area of 2,000 square meters. Mayor Daniele Bertasi emphasized the park’s uniqueness, stating that no other lakeside municipality can boast a green space so close to the lake.

In addition to the completed interventions, the Municipality plans further improvements to make the park more accessible. Inspections of the existing vegetation have been carried out, and four new trees have been planted to replace those that were dead or diseased. The Councillor for Ecology, Simone Corradini, highlighted that the magnolia was under observation due to the vegetative stress caused by soil compaction around its roots. With these interventions, the public green spaces in the area are further enhanced, contributing to the appreciation of one of the most valued green areas of Lake Garda.
