The Shareholders’ Meeting of Acque Bresciane unanimously approved the 2024 budget, highlighting the company’s solidity in managing the integrated water service for 114 municipalities in the Province of Brescia, serving approximately 700,000 users. The company, recognized as a Benefit Corporation since 2022, does not distribute dividends but reinvests profits to support an ambitious financial plan. For the current year, the production value is estimated at €142,278,711, with a net profit of €7,866,582, which is entirely allocated to strategic investments aimed at addressing challenges such as infrastructure and climate change.
In 2024, Acque Bresciane extracted over 104 million cubic meters of water and continued to enhance the water network through significant investments, including financing contracts totaling €69 million. Among these is a €55 million “Sustainability Linked Loan” tied to the achievement of specific environmental goals. The interventions outlined in the Plan include the expansion of treatment plants and the extension of the sewage network in underserved areas, thereby reaffirming the company’s commitment to sustainable water resource management and the protection of the local environment.
