Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included local political and social leaders, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the participants, also creating opportunities for community gatherings and solidarity among residents.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing oversight and coordination services among the various involved parties.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation by the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
