Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Community Inclusion
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring patrol and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
