Cornuda Sets Up Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
