Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly & Disabled Well-being
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteering organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of those involved, also creating opportunities for encounter and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved entities.
Volunteering organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
