Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Inclusion and Community Engagement

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
