Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Inclusion for Elderly and Disabled

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale Hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer groups.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the realization of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
