Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Supports Vulnerable Groups

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims specifically to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
