Cornuda Social Support Initiative Boosts Community Inclusion

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was signed at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of those involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to support the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable.
