Cornuda Social Support Initiative Boosts Elderly and Disabled Wellbeing
Cornuda Agreement
On June 9th, 1996, an agreement was signed at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the Municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most fragile groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has pledged its support to the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
