Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Improve Elderly and Disabled Lives

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for social gatherings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to support the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
