Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Care
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives from local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated budget for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among the citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
