Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, providing supervision services and coordinating among the various involved components.
