Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion and Community Care
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved entities.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
