Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion and Community Wellbeing

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has pledged its commitment to support the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable.
