Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Community Inclusion and Care

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated amount for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring supervision and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
