Garda Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Steal from Local Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not members of the military, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police force.
