Luganeggiando 2023: Wine and Food Tasting Tour in Lugana on May 6
Only a few days remain. Most of all, a few are still available for registration (until April 30). Six days later, on Sunday, May 6 at 10 a.m., from Broglie location, the second edition of “Luganeggiando” will take place, the food and wine promotion event of Lugana. Participants, whether on foot or by bicycle, will be able to cover 13 kilometers through the countryside and vineyards of lower Garda, between Peschiera and Sirmione, with stops at 12 different wineries’ courtyards.
At each stop, participants can visit the wineries and the wine-making locations, taste the white wines produced and bottled here under the Lugana doc label, and sample some typical dishes based on meat and fish. It’s a unique experience, full of highlights for those who love Lugana and the area where it’s produced, but also for those simply curious about the opportunity to enter those splendid cellars, which every year carefully produce a white wine that is gaining favor in markets and among connoisseurs.
Organization and Departure
The countryside day, organized by the Pro loco di Peschiera and the cultural association La Traccia, will start with the gathering of participants in the parking area of the Broglie industrial zone, near the Santuario della Madonna del Frassino. From here, the departure will be at 10 a.m. for the 12 wineries, following a circular route that will bring the participants back to the starting point.
“We are reintroducing Luganeggiando with a second edition that promises significant improvements,” explains Alessio Speri de La Traccia. “A special thanks goes immediately to the 12 companies that have joined and will host the participants.”
To register, the organization has set up an official website and has provided some phone numbers (0328.692.3400; 045.755.1673). Alternatively, you can refer to the information office of the Apt in Peschiera.
