Montichiari Airport to Resume Rome Flights with Alpi Eagles in May

Montichiari is once again looking towards the capital city. Although the news has not yet been officially confirmed—perhaps out of superstition or concern until the last moment, after numerous disappointments—service to Rome from the D’Annunzio airport is expected to resume on May 1st, after being interrupted over a month ago following the withdrawal of Air Dolomiti.

This time, Alpi Eagles will come to the rescue of our passengers with two daily flights, compared to the three previously offered: the afternoon schedule, the least frequented, will be eliminated.

Service Details and Future Destinations

A Fokker 100 with 94 seats, including 12 business and 82 tourist, will operate the round-trip service.

It also appears that two additional destinations, Olbia and Catania, may be added, but these details will be finalized in ongoing meetings.

According to available information, and in the absence of official communications, the agreement is expected to be short-term, with a deadline in October.

However, this timeframe should give breathing room to the Brescia-based group Sorlini, which is gathering members around a project to establish a fully local airline, with two aircraft available for the Lazio route and potential stops in Eastern Europe.
