Enhancement of the lakeside of Salò: the impact of Nastuzzo on the community

The lakeside promenade of Salò is preparing to celebrate the Gasparo Award 2025, bestowed upon Aurelio Nastuzzo for his extraordinary commitment to enhancing the local community. The award ceremony took place on November 4th, the feast day of Saint Charles, recognizing Nastuzzo’s significant contribution to the restoration and promotion of the “Antiche Rive” walkway, which has revitalized an area once neglected. Mayor Francesco Cagnini emphasized Nastuzzo’s tireless efforts as a promoter of projects that have enriched Salò, from its artistic heritage to its natural environment. Nastuzzo, founder of the “Amici del Golfo” association, has dedicated over 25 years to safeguarding and enhancing the city, collaborating with various citizens and institutions. Among his countless initiatives are beach clean-ups and the promotion of inland hiking trails. Recently, he also launched a new project with the Amici del Duomo association to promote the city’s main monument.
