Desenzano Local Police Honored for Historic District Intervention

Desenzano’s Local Police received a special commendation from Regione Lombardia for their response on May 31, 2024, in the historic city center. During a day of high tourist activity, officers contained and neutralized armed individuals amid a disorderly incident, restoring public safety and allowing investigative activities to proceed.

The award was presented during the Regional Police Day by Brescia Prefect Andrea Polichetti and Regional Security and Civil Protection Minister Romano Maria La Russa, in the presence of local authorities. Several officers, including vice commissioners Michele Ugolini and Giorgio Tosi, and other agents, were officially recognized with a diploma for their actions.
