Cornuda Social Support Project: Improving Lives of Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community meetings and fostering solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Town Council has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordinating the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
