Cornuda’s 1996 Social Inclusion Project Supports Vulnerable Groups

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weaker categories. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
