Cornuda Social Support Project Launched to Help Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the associazione di quartiere (neighborhood association), and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for social interaction and solidarity among residents.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
