Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Living
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for community meeting and solidarity.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing oversight and coordinating among the various involved components.
