The Thread That Connects (Il filo che unisce) opens this October in Moniga del Garda: a curated series of three evening and afternoon dialogues exploring personal care, human relationships, and communal solidarity on the southwestern shores of Lake Garda.

Three Authors, Three Perspectives, One Guiding Principle: Care
Hosted in the Municipal Council Chamber of Moniga del Garda (Piazza San Martino 1), the initiative weaves together three distinct literary works around the central theme of conscious care: care for the inner self, care in daily inter-personal relationships, and collective care for our global heritage and the culture of peace.
Thursday, October 1 (20:30) – The Ten Doctors Within
The series opens on Thursday, October 1 at 20:30 with physician Dr. Federico Ghidinelli and social worker Lucas Prati presenting their book I 10 dottori (di cui non sapevi di avere bisogno) [The 10 Doctors You Never Knew You Needed].
Rooted in the clinical understanding that physical health is inextricably intertwined with psychological and spiritual wellbeing, the authors propose activating ten internal resources—metaphorically characterized as “inner doctors.” By reactivating essential virtues that are often neglected in modern life, these principles guide individuals through bodily ailments and emotional crises. Drawing upon personal and professional clinical experience, Ghidinelli and Prati offer practical pathways toward self-knowledge, conscious resilience, and gratitude.
Thursday, October 8 (20:30) – CondomiCARE: The Art of Living Together
On Thursday, October 8 at 20:30, author Eva Seriani takes the stage with CondomiCARE. With incisive humor and psychological depth, Seriani explores the micro-cosmos of residential condominium life—an everyday environment fraught with subtle frictions, shared boundaries, and interpersonal misunderstandings.
Far beyond practical property management, the book serves as a charming springboard to examine broader relational dynamics: how to cultivate empathetic listening, negotiate constructive compromise, and embrace divergent viewpoints within families, workplaces, and local communities.
Saturday, October 17 (17:00) – Memory, Hope, and Peace
The cycle concludes on Saturday, October 17 at 17:00 with Chiara Bazzoli presenting C’è un albero in Giappone [There Is a Tree in Japan], an evocative illustrated narrative chronicling the miraculous survival of a tree that withstood the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Previously highlighted in the Sirmione cultural exhibition If Trees Could Talk, this poignant true story bridges generational memory and intercultural hope.
Thanks to its compelling graphic storytelling and accessible narrative, the Saturday afternoon presentation is specifically recommended for children, teenagers, and families, fostering an appreciation of historical memory as the foundation for peace.
